OT Should Myles Garrett face assault charges...
...for what he did to Mason Rudolph? I think he should. That football helmet might could even be potentially considered a deadly weapon! At the very least, he assaulted Mason pure and simple. I think he should be permanently banned from the NFL and sent to prison, though I know it won’t happen. I hope he is at least suspended the remainder of this season and fined a hefty amount (millions). And what would happen to a guy who did this in a SC high school game? Probably kicked off his team and suspended from school a long time (maybe even expelled).

Multi-game suspension, 6 figure fine.
I do like the way Mason's O-linemen reacted.

Mason is tough to take a hit to the head like that.
he just turned and looked to the official for the flag.

Should be a hefty suspension. Possibly the remainder of this season. That could have gone real bad. Luckily, thebway Garrett picked up the helmet he hit Mason with the bottom of the ear while as opposed to the helmet being flipped and hitting him with the solid crown. If that had happened the situation could have turned lethal. Now I'm not buying some saying it should be a criminal assault case. Emotions running high during a game. But anything less than being suspended for the rest of the year would be disappointing

If it was a high school player, he would be gone from the team and the school more than likely. Plus, I could see the parents of the kid he hit pressing charges. I remember a game vs Columbia a few years ago where a Columbia player swung his helmet at a Newberry player. He didn't hit anybody, no flag was thrown, but the coach didn't put him back in the game that night.NuclearCav90 wrote:...for what he did to Mason Rudolph? I think he should. JMO... First of all, Garrett pulled Rudolphs helmet off. Then he used it as a weapon. No doubt in my mind he was trying to injure Rudolph or anyone he happened to be near and got in the way. The NFL needs to make a plain and simple statement that a lifetime suspension is the result of this type of action and it should start with this case. Rudolph could have suffered serious injury. Also, high schoolers watch and imitate what they see. Really sad if he isn't given serious punishment.
