LOL! I asked this same question the other day. I think it has more to do with population and giving the lower state a chance. After all, as the state tapers down near Charleston, there simply isn't enough room to have as many people. Not enough real-estate. Its like pitting the state of Vermont against Pennsylvania (2A vs 5A). That is exaggerated of course, but I do feel like they were thinking of population vs geography.BYRNES#1 wrote:

Population.
While it is apparent that Charleston is a hot bed, the population seems to be skewed heavier towards the upstate and in a wider area.
Notice the tiny red area in Cherokee County. That my friends is the real football city. Thats some potent stuff right there. Most in the state. B1, I know you aint gonna like that comment. Gotta give em props bro. I been tanglin" with em since 04.

Colby you and I both know what would happen if Beaufort were to come up here and get them some of the upstate schools they would be sent home so fast with their wings clipped and beaks all broke up from the beat down they would take lol
