D3, D2, and FCS have it in college. Bowl revenue is why FBS doesn't. When a company is willing to pay big money to host a 6 win MAC team vs a 6 win Mountain West team in front of 5,000 people, most of who were given tickets, nothing will change.

Re: College Football Playoffs
No chance Bama makes it unless the committee is paid off.
Clemson would have to be 1 as the only undefeated conference champ.
I would put UGA 2 even with their bad loss to my Gamecocks and questionable offense. IF they score even to beat LSU in Atlanta they have to be 2
For me, If Minnesota beats Ohio State on a last second score, I still think the Buckeyes get in at 3. I think the Ohio State name and the body of work over the course of the season keeps them in.
I would say LSU stays in at 4. I know that leaves out 3 conference champions in Utah, OU/Baylor, and Minnesota, but I think the overall body of work for LSU gets them in.
Now, if my Gamecocks beat Clemson this week, they will have the 2 best wins of any team in the country at 5-7.

Keep in mind, who would you put in. Not who you think the committee will put in.

If they expand by one round nothing really changes.bigdog2003 wrote:Fortfor5 wrote:Im all for expansion and making a more realistic playoff .nfl has it highschools have it.theres no reason college shouldnt have it aswell.

This year for example;
Eight teams
Rose
Orange
Cotton
Sugar
Four teams
Fiesta
Peach
National Championship

Re: College Football Playoffs
as of today here is my top 4 (JUST MY OPINION)
#1 Clemson-how are they not #1 until they get beat
#2 Ohio State
#3 LSU
#4 Georgia (don't know why) i thnk LSU beats them in the SEC championship game.
I am an Alabama fan since 1963.i hope
they don't make the final 4.i would like
to see them get matched up with Oklahoma
in a bowl and see Jalen Hurts and the Sooners
beat the pee pee out of my Tide.the Tide will
go undefeated next year and play for the
title again.

Re: College Football Playoffs
Dawg fan since I went to my first game at 5 or 6 with an Indian and then Bulldog player. Season ticket holder since 92. With all that being said we are one bad defensive performance from getting blown out this year...lol. Wont happen this weekend and for some reason I gotta feeling we are gonna surprise LSU in the SECCG. Then get blown out in the playoffs. No idea what has happened to Fromm this year but he has definitely regressed. But we gotta defense full of youngsters playing ball. The defense will be scary good next year.
