Summerville and high school football fans throughout South Carolina can give thanks on this Thanksgiving Day for the life of this legend. He touched so many lives in his work and brought joy to so many people with the terrific program he built.

I am so sorry to hear this about Coach McKissick. I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. Summerville lost a true legend. I am honored to have had him autograph his book Called to Coach for me.

Very saddened by the news of Coach McKissick's passing but know he is in a better place. He was one on the greatest football coaches at any level this country has ever seen. I am proud to be able to state I pull for the team which was once coached by this legend. He touched thousands of lives throughout his coaching career at Summerville and will be missed very much. Prayers to his family during this tough time....
