Congratulations to Saluda. They played hard and wanted it more. #7, 8, and 22 played lights out. Muffed pooch kick by Abbeville, and phantom PI called on goal line when Abbeville intercepted were huge momentum swings. hellova game

Abbeville has alot of speed indeed but instead of tackling they were trying to strip the ball which lead to extra yards for the tigers. Abbeville had some critical turnovers especially costly ints in which the ball should have not been thrown. #8 and #7 for saluda were ballers as #10, #4 and #21 for Abbeville. They got speed for days. Saluda vs barnwell should be a good one. Barnwell can run and throw so it should be a challenge defensively for saluda since Abbeville mostly a ground and pound team. Bottom line in this game tonight, Abbeville didn't put saluda away and saluda was the more hungrier team
Abbeville couldn't put Saluda away. Saluda straight up beat them, it was no farce.

Maybe for emerald but not gwood. Coach Pippin don't like scrimmages. He pulled the starters after two possessions. No disrespect but didn't Abbeville lose too?
Well, this sure aged well.
What happened AHS14? No disrespect intended
Saluda kicked their ass in the 2nd half, that's what happened. The officials gutted Saluda with bad calls 3 times in the 2nd half but Saluda kept coming.

Plenty of bad calls against Abbeville too. Phantom PI on the interception....them Saluda scores. Big swing point in game

Saluda scores to take the lead late in the 4th quarter, FLAG, score called back. Saluda ends up attempting a field goal, BLOCKED by a player that was 3 yards off sides. No flag. Then Saluda scores later on in the 4th and goes for 2 to make it 28 - 25, so a field goal can tie. They make the 2 point conversion, FLAG, and they line up way back there and go for the 2 point conversion again and MADE IT. Yes, Saluda faced a lot tonight but didn't waiver and the took Abbeville to the woodshed in the second half.

I was referring to early on when Abbeville had the momentum when they had the 2 early turnovers. Granted that INT that the QB threw, seem was a wrong read. There was a wr that was wide open down the middle he could had walked into the end zone. Thought he was gonna throw it there. The other wr he threw to was double covered. You can't let a good team hang around and saluda didn't quit even being down 11. Their defense was sound all night minus the reverse Abbeville ran for a long TD. Tiger fans really energized that team they were way louder than the panther fans for the most part.

If Abbeville had even an inkling of a passing game threat, this game would have been won with no problem. We are just not interested in it for whatever reason....I don't get it....coaches make those decisions and have to deal with the consequences. The thing is....an inkling of a passing game would be all we need to make a defense play more honest. I'm also still trying to figure out why we decided to tinker with our QB situation this year since the second game. Didn't get it then...don't get it now. Been watching all year and have yet to see what the reason could possibly be. It absolutely did not make us better in any way, it's a mystery to me still. I believe the QB switching back and forth probably also caused some of those procedure penalties. Give Saluda full credit, they didn't out athlete us or out talent us in any way...but they certainly out played us and absolutely out schemed us.

I was impressed with the size and numbers Abbeville has for a 2A schools. They could play toe to toe with bigger schools, they have size, speed and talent and some decent depth. They do need some sort of passing game. If they.could throw the ball some that would make them that more dangerous on offense. Their defense is stout especially up front,. But too many times they try stripping the ball and not wrapping up, also the short quick passing game and fast pace was hurting them as well

Abbeville, Tad Dubose, and the Temple family earned this loss.

They had this one coming after that night hunting hate crime fiasco was swept under the rug.

Congrats to Saluda. Go win state!

Got to tip my hat to Saluda. Been saying all year that until somebody in 2A beats Abbeville that I really wouldnt out a lot of thought into it. Saluda got down, and still came back and won, which I surely didnt think would happen to Abbeville.
