Depends on the qualifications and education/experience of the head coach that's hired.

It will certainly not exceed six figures.

The numbers are public. I'm ball-parking 65K because when you split the job AD/HC, you cannot pay them both 100k (which you posted previously that Greenwood pays). No I'm not from Greenwood. Do I have to be to comment?

The job pay is based on how many years you have been teaching and the head coaching supplement, so it will vary from person to person

The coaches in Rock Hill don't make 100k. Do you think South Pointe is a big time job? Northwestern?

good luck on your search

You mentioned 65k as if you knew that's what Greenwood is paying. To know exactly what they're paying I'd say you'd have to be from Greenwood or have very close reliable source with ties to the place. Sparky told me personally he has no lack of quality coaches interested in this job.

I like Greg Porter and definitely wouldn't have an issue if he was chosen.

The OC at spartanburg
The former DC / HC at NW
The OC at Mallard Creek
The OC at Saluda
The DC at Dutch Fork
The DC at Dorman

Any of the guys would do a fine job at Greenwood

The only way I see Gutshall leaving Dorman is after he hangs up the whistle and headset for good. Gutshall has a very good team year in and year out and I don't think they have had a loosing season in the last 15 years or so and if they have then that was because they were down with injuries and other stuff

I know the Gutshall, Knotts comment was originally said in jest, but they have better jobs currently. You dont leave a Dorman, or Dutch Fork for a Greenwood. Dorman will be Gutshalls last stop. Not so sure DF will be the last stop for Knotts. Tumors have swirled that he would like to get closer to the beach, or take one of those high paying Georgia gigs.
As for Greg Porter? Am sure he has probably applied. He has applied for every decent job in the state that has popped open over the last few years. Dont know why Greenwood would be any different.

Look for Knotts to apply at Socastee. That’s close to his beach house at Pawleys Island. He’s already applied at Conway two years ago but due to a certain situation our hands were pretty much tied and had to take the interim tag off Carlton Terry. It’s not working out here and I was hoping the administration would contact him and try to work a deal out behind the scenes. One can hope.
