He chose the AD job because it's a more secured position that he already knew how to operate correctly and plus he is nearing retirement soon. At the head coach position, he was not winning so they were going to get rid of him.No Fly Zone wrote:It won't be as high paying anymore though.eagle93 wrote:Where are you getting this 65k number from? Greenwood District 50 has opted to separate the HC and AD jobs. They gave McMahon an ultimatum at Emerald, so he chose AD (higher pay and he lost the program, so it didn't make sense for him to stay on as HC).
Who could be the next Greenwood High Head Football Coach??

Those coaches are at great programs right now. Both coaches are successful at what they are doing at each school. Both schools are paying well and their communities are producing top caliber players. It would be crazy for them to leave unless they want to prove a point that they can win at Greenwood too.Onion Rings wrote:Heck why not throw Tommy Knotts and Dave Gutshall on there, they COULD apply

He chose the AD job over retirement, essentially.StateChampsGHS wrote:He chose the AD job because it's a more secured position that he already knew how to operate correctly and plus he is nearing retirement soon. This way he can leave his mark on the head coaching hire and also protect his son and Sorrow. It's a joke.

Interviews have begun, at least over at Emerald.StateChampsGHS wrote:Well, the Greenwood and Emerald head coaching jobs came open on Monday, 12/9/19.
That's why I was shocked to see another Emerald thread pop up -- I thought they'd hired someone immediately...which is what McMahon wants.
Both postings are slated to close next Friday (12/20).

Been longer than that. Over 20 years of winning seasonsracincowboy02 wrote:The only way I see Gutshall leaving Dorman is after he hangs up the whistle and headset for good. Gutshall has a very good team year in and year out and I don't think they have had a loosing season in the last 15 years or so and if they have then that was because they were down with injuries and other stuff
