looks like what you are saying is use any advantage that you can get away with. I disagree but won't try to change your mind. You have your thoughts and I have mine

juiced bats in little league. doctored birth certificates. cocaine in the boxers water bottle. Why not put recording devices in the opposing teams coaching office and listen to the game plan, or tap into their communication systems in-game

videoing an opponents practice, cheating on a test. Any advantage right. If not caught it's ok right?

having a live camera with a feed going into the dugout for the purposes of tipping the batter off is too far imo. I don't want to see a rigged game, if you do have at it

to me what these mlb teams did was way worse than Pete Rose betting on baseball, but he's banned for life. He didn't rig games, but I guess that's another thread

How did this come to light? This is crappy for MLB's reputation, but it's not like they haven't had scandals before.
Heard a sports journalist today say " They've been stealing signs since the invention of the game."
Still, it doesn't make it right.

Yes the sign steal has been goin on since the start of the game. The camera looking in is wrong period yes I don't believe in that but for a player or coach to pick up on signs naturally is part of the game

Ok 1st off juiced bats are wrong and flat out cheating, Doctored birth certificates are wrong but that doesn't happen a whole lot anymore and all of that other stuff you are calling cheating has nothing to do with the fact that the sign stealing has been around since the inception of the game and is part of the game. You do realize that there are unwritten rules in baseball and one of them is that if you were to take a peak at the catchers signs and the catcher so happen to see you looking back then the sign was null and void and you took a fastball to the head. Is looking across the field and watching a coach give signs and the signs be the same and never change through out the entire game and figuring them out and knowing when a runner is goin to steal a base or the hit and run is on is that really cheating or watching a pitching coach call in the same pitches ever pitch and figuring out what the fastball, curveball, change up, or what pitch is coming is that really cheating. Or what about the scouting reports that are put together throughout a season and over the career of players is that cheating also

No one here is saying players or coaches picking up on signs hasn't been going on forever...don't think anyone would say that is per say wrong...however the article u posted at the crux of your complaint is about punishment for using a camera...come on Chris...don't assume...didn't I teach u better than that...

Yea you the one that taught me how to steal signs in the first place lol. Yes the camera is going a little to far maybe. Come on mikey you have to admit that it takes a pretty genius person to come up with the idea to use the camera to do it. Its not like the catcher is sitting there screaming fastball or whatever the pitch is it takes a pretty smart person to sit there and watch the camera and then decode what the pitch was be watching the way the ball moves

might take them an inning, maybe 2, but once they have it, they have it. They play again, and they have it again from the start of the game

They can make changes all they want, but when you can analyze tape, they will eventually know it
