Those are good choices too.
Re: Valdosta High(GA) hires controversial Rush Propst as coach
Propst would probably have a tough time getting hired in SC. Folks would be too worried about the baggage that comes with him. After all, he runs a high school program like it is a college program. Winning is ALL that matters and anything that gets in the way of that be damned. He pays zero attention to any board, principal, or superior of any kind. But he is an excellent football coach and will win, and win at the highest level. At a place like Valdosta, their football is more important that the board, principal, mayor, or anybody else in town. Should be a perfect marriage.

I don't doubt Propst is a good football coach. He's had success most everywhere he's coached. But the dude has the most baggage of almost any high school coach in the country. You can find and hire a winning coach that doesn't come packaged with a lot of drama.

Curious.
Record of SC schools vs GA schools. Any input?
It's easy to lambast opponents when they are cardboard cutouts...

I am still surprised that Valdosta let former Coach Alan Rodemaker go. Rodemaker was a really good Coach. Beaufort played Valdosta the last 2 years and I was really impressed with Valdosta. Valdosta has a great Tradition in High School Football and is the winningest football team ever in the Country. Valdosta has always had some great athletes and the facilities/stadium are really nice.

Simple answer. In '17 & 18 Propst and Colquitt beat the brakes off of Valdosta to the tune of 48-13 and 27-0. Those types of beat downs don't sit very well in Valdosta. So when they had a chance to hire the guy that administered those thumping, and a guy they know will make them elite on an annual basis, they would have fired their mother to get him.

Anyone questioning the significance of Valdosta HS football, doesn't know much football.

LMAO. I garauntee Lowndes has something to say about that. It's easy to claim that when they ain't played anybody.
How do they stack up against out of state teams? How far out of their backyard have they ventured?
