ALL I KNOW IS ME AND BRUCE ALMIGHTY IS 1-0 AGAINST GREENWOOD IN MY HOUSE, LET HIM THROW A PASS ON YALL, HAHAHA, THE STAGS MAN IS WIDE OPEN TURNED AROUND AT THE 10 YRD LINE WAITING ON THE PASS, ALL THE GREENWOOD DEFENSE IS STILL IN GREENWOOD AND HE ALMOST STILL DROPPED IT, HAHAHA
And you've yet to return to the dance. This has been a long time ago and it was the coaches first year. We got thumped by Wren that year, soooo. Returned 3 years in a row following. No Stags have been seen since.

Lots of history and winning tradition. Several titles. Be happy with the one you got, but realize it's been a minute. For both of our schools actually. It's likely we'll return in the future though.

RC, I dug all the way to 2004 and I saw nothing that would impress anyone. 3-2 against one team in FL, and 0-1 to a team out of AZ

The topic of the post was about Rush Propst but for inquiring minds.......

According to the Valdosta High School website:

1. 6 National Football Championships (1992 most recent)
2. 24 State Titles (2016 most recent)
3. 42 Region Titles (2016 most recent)
This was also verified by ESPN in which they did a video on Valdosta called "TitleTown USA" that can be viewed in the link below. The ESPN video piece was done in 2008.

Lol, and exactly how were "national championships" determined in 92?
All speculation. Can you say "fantasy football"? A team has to get out and play country wide. Or at the bare minimum, travel to other states and play other high powered teams.
You say the piece on ESPN was made in 2008, I can name a dozen teams that would have STOMPED them in that very year.

Who Valdosta would lose to in 2008 or any other year has nothing to do with the thread. I made the post about Valdosta simply validating their historical success. The article states they have the most wins of any high school football team in America which is factual. Simple as that. However, of the 24 state title teams they had you'd think at least one of them had to be some good. I guess the 900 plus teams they beat were ALL cupcakes. Who knows   ;)

The national championship was decided in 92 just like it is today voted on by a bunch of reporters and others who think they know what is goin on with all the high schools in the nation. Yes they have won 900++++ games and you might be right about a big fish in a tiny pond but my question is if they are so good why haven't any teams from SC that are pretty damn good called them and tried to put them on the schedule I bet you money that would be a huge money maker for the gate and then you could see if they were actually that good or the big fish then
