Before last Friday night, I had Goose Creek in my Playoff Projections winning this game, now, I'm not sure what to do. Dutch Fork appeared to have it all under control but then let Dorman work their way back into the game. Goose Creek was shall we say, "less than stellar" for most of the game Friday night. Looking ahead to this week maybe?
I think Goose Creek will move the ball against Dutch Fork but will they be able to stop them on defense?
Some of you Low Country folks weigh in on this topic.....

This is a tough one to call. I believe I will go with DF. I saw them in a scrimmage. However, I haven't seen GC this season.

Re: Dutch Fork at Goose Creek
I have no idea how GC's passing game is working. Dutch Fork was consistently getting beat deep by the Dorman receivers. I was at the DF vs D game and many of the D folks (folks that were at the NW vs Byrnes game) were in agreement that both NW and Byrnes would light up the scoreboard against the DF defense.
Now the DF offense is centered on #31. He is like trying to tackle a fireplug.
It should be a good game and, in my opinion, should be a fairly good measuring stick for DF and GC to be compared to the other top teams across the state in 4A.

Re: Dutch Fork at Goose Creek
I'm concerned for Goose Creek in this one. For a guy who didn't go to the game, 74's thoughts about this one seem about right. Some Creek fans say this year's team is better than last. I will say that most of their opponents this year are better so that may explain why the Creek's victories aren't as lopsided as they were last year. But still it just seems as if Goose Creek's team this year is more vulnerable than the last two years.
When was the last time a Goose Creek game came down to the final minutes? 2010 against Northwestern, 2011 against University from Florida. I see this game being a very tough test for Goose Creek. Would love to see this one.
Interestingly enough, Dorman was able to get on a roll and pick apart the DF defense when they needed to prevent it most. Goose Creek will be able to put together a better running game than Dorman did which should open up their chances for passing plays also. The story is going to be about the GC defense. They will need to force probably 4 punts and or turnovers and I think they win.

Re: Dutch Fork at Goose Creek
The gators have given up 350 yds roughly in both of thier last two games.one to a team that has running issues the other passing issues.while goose creek got long runs in the forth on both.a long pass on us.the we don't punt gators have punted or turned the ball over on fourth down a couple times in both contests.and had a gimme on a4th and one.the difference in our game with them was the loss of smalls.the hurry up up tempo offense was only sputtered by our lack of execution.when it was executed we were moving.if the Dutch fork d can slow the creek o.ibelieve they can score on the creek d.in week 11 maybe different but as of be last few contests thats the way it is.are they the best team in the LC after Stratford we will know.my honest opinion at this point in the season they are the best team up till you take the right to Willie Brice.with the potential to carry that farther by seasons end.they better get to that point right ow they look like the best chance for the LC to get a tittle down here.
