I propose a new more defined challenge.
Let’s warp time.
Pick your team from any year.
Then put together your dream schedule against any SC opponent from any year also.
The 2006 rebs vs the 2011 Indians. Yeah the rebs still won but what could the ‘06 squad have done to them?
It will never happen; but I wish we played......

Start the topic and lets get this debate on I bet there will be some good teams and some good match ups that we could really discuss
Re: It will never happen; but I wish we played......
Let’s see...
The 2000 Cav squad led by Trey Rodgers and with Gutshall’s son at tight end.
1st up...
The 2000 Greenwood Eagles. They were the only team that beat us that year. I say in a literal rematch we dorman wins a close one.
The ‘89 indians. They knocked a good Cavalier team out of the playoffs.
2010 Byrnes Rebels. Obviously.
And while we’re at it...
‘99 Greenwave (I think
. You know who you are; penalty my ass.)
Oh maybe i meant ‘98 Greenwave.
And then ‘99 Stratford Knights. (Whichever team beat us at state.)
And the ‘94 Spartanburg Vikings which would erase two scars for me!
That’s 5.
6) The Northwestern Trojans. You pick the year.
7) Slicker’s Stags, he can pick which year.
8) TL Hanna (you pick the year)
9) Dillon (you pick the year)
10) South Pointe
11) 2012 Goose Creek (whichever team won state)
12) Same year Florida University team that beat the Gators.
13) Dutchfork
14) Fort Dorchester
And for the title?
i dunno....
Ha!
For the tittle!
Boiling Springs....any year.

Ok since you talkin about Northwestern and your cavs I would like to see the 93 NW team

Completely off my radar. Was some hangtime between me graduating and my renewed interest in HS football. The ‘93 is completely unknown to me but I’ll look em up on daves sight.

They had Derek Ross and we had Kentrell Jones and man that was a helluva year unfortunately we ended up losing to that team 2-0 at Clemson in a cold rainy game after a bad snap over the punters head that he kicked out of the back of the endzone to give them the 2 points and we had our chances to score but came up short on many many occasions. The 90's were a thing of great teams and the region back then was loaded with teams that would kill each other during region play and if you made it out of that region and into the playoffs you would do very well to say the least

Ross vs. Jones was 1997. Gaffney won 37-30

Yes you are right Onion Ring dang I'm sorry I gave out the bad info. Tyrone McGill was QB in 93 right or was it somebody else anyway from 85-99 were some of the greatest teams to ever come out of Gaffney those were the great years at the Old Reservation

all good, and it was definitely McGill for Gaffney, and they also had 2 D1 inside linebackers (Indians help me out with those 2 names:)
NW's qb was P.J. Jennings
2-0 wow. I be it's never done again in the big game
