If they do cancel .we coukd start our own upper age league
Like youth league.8m sure we could rent equipment pay a few coaches thT have nothing to do if the cancel it.
Would be good we can make our own 3 or 4 team league .
wherever you play, the owner of the property will have to agree to be liable...............good luck with that.........
Youth leagues are using p7blic property with no problem.so we should be able to aswell.our youth league had cuts yesterday.
ok.............nobody would do it on my property............that's for sure............

No, you are incorrect, a simple proof of insurance coverage by the "league" and have parents sign a waiver is all that would be needed to clear the land owner. In that scenario, the owner is ONLY liable if something on his land were to cause the injury/sickness. For example, he has a tree that falls on someone, or he has divots in his land that cause a child to turn an ankle. In those scenarios HE COULD be liable.
In addition, assuming the sport is an "opt-in", the element of liability is nearly 100% gone. The fact that someone knowingly signs a waiver and is paying to be part of the program makes it very difficult to overcome in a court of law.
Of course anyone can sue for anything, but someone would need quite a bit of money to pursue this, especially considering the difficult nature of even getting a judge to hear the case. So the odds of the land owner being sued are very very small.

the medical experts 100% disagree with you......just sayin...........
Nope. There are "expert" medical opinions on both sides of this issue. Considering the track record of the predictive models and popular "experts" over the last 4 months one would be wise to take a contrarian view of their opinions and projections. :ugeek:
all i have seen is the medical community in unison about this virus at every turn..........the politicians have opposed the experts since day 1..............and now we are paying a severe price for that..........
Look, we can debate this all day, but the reality is the one FOR SURE thing with COVID is that answers/direction have been all over the place, and that includes within the medical community. Your good friend Fauci changes his tune with the wind. The WHO and CDC can't agree if it can be caught on surfaces or if asymptomatic individuals can infect others. Initial projections had over 5,000 hospitalized, at one time, in South Carolina due to COVID-19. Even with the latest "spike" of cases, we aren't even at 20% of that number.
I am not here to argue the disease, but to simply point out that NO medical professionals have NOT been 100% in unison when it comes to COVID-19.

the medical community has been rock solid since minute 1...........it's that our politicians have ignored them............maybe you are listening to a fraud news channel............Fauci has been spot on and saying the very same things..........he did say don't go out and buy masks when there was a shortage of masks in hospitals but once that was resolved he has been begging people to wear them.............we are on fire in s.c..........almost 1,300 new cases today............ignoring the reality of this monster will not make it go away..........

I have only a couple of questions, if you made the decision to allow your son or daughter to play sports this fall and they were to contract and God forbid acquired a life-changing ailment from this disease would you still say it has been worth it all. I personally have a priest friend who's lungs will never be the same. He was perfectly healthy before this started.

Since there seems to be a consensus that nobody knows all the answers on this disease siding on caution is more prudent than jumping into the shark pool and hoping you can get out before getting bit. The second question is who do you think is not going to be willing to not sue if a child dies? It only takes one! Are we worried about our beloved football or the kids??
