I think Byrnes will field best O-Line in the state with the Return of 4 starters! Eli Henderson is a man child! Think with the lost of 7 ON 7 that the team thats able to run the ball will have a great chance! With the lost of Rajahi Harris the Rebels will definitely have BIGGGG shoes to fill! QB may be a two QB system with Braden Blackmon and Gabe Rogers! Think we have one of the top wrs in the state in NaNa Burris!
Defense will be young so offense need to carry the load until D get game experience !

Curious how good is your depth this year Slick, last year your first team was great but it seemed to be the 2nd team on down was a dropoff compared to the 1st team in the 2 games I watched? Ya'll should have beat Fort in the first game last year, just stopped throwing the ball and that freshman QB for Fort gave them a spark.

I see my Beaufort High Eagles as the team to beat in Region VII. While we are not a really deep team, we are returning some key players from last season's Region Champion team. Add to that, the lack of any really good teams in this Region, and that leaves a proven winner with a lot of talent coming back.

We add Walterboro, South Wando, and Fort Johnson to our Region schedule. The new hoax grass should help this team progress with the spread offense that we run. Speed will be at a premium, and Beaufort always has some fast players. Barring any key injuries (A real possibility on turf), Beaufort "should" once again, be the class of Lowcountry 4A football.

Expectations are also high for this squad, something that scares me. In the past, when Beaufort has had very good teams, it seems as if egos and attitudes have evened the playing field. A 2nd year Head Coach may keep that from happening. At least, Beaufort has become more competitive in the last couple of seasons after having the program ridden into the ground by our former Head Coach. A lot of internal damage happened, and it will take new blood with no ties to that time, to turn things around.
