You are making some good points 74 now lets see which one you prefer. I know that it will be a hard choice but if you were the chairman of the HSL which would you choose. You gotta explain the region comment in english lol i didn't catch what you meant

I went back and edited my post. Does that answer your questions? As for me, I think with the way this season has gone, the only really fair way is the 2/3/3 idea I mentioned first. Give the two larger Regions 3 automatic entries.

That is probably the most fair way to do it. BUT........that means 8 out of 18 get in, while up north, only 8 out of 21 get in. The SCHSL created a mess when they divided the Upper and Lower state and created uneven Regions. Geography and travel were weighted higher than fair and equitable playoff contention. I am just glad that I can say that I am in no way responsible for this mess. Somebody needs to be fired.

The didn't put much thought into this.

There are three regions in 4A lower state:

• 4A-5: 5 teams

• 4A-6: 7 teams

• 4A-7: 6 teams (with varsity football)

Each region gets 2 automatic berths. Take a guess which region's runner up gets a home game in the first round.....
