This maybe the prequel to the Upperstate Championship game that will be played later on in the season. I think Gaffney will pull this one out but it will be by the skin of their teeth. If the defense can get some small things squared away and the offense can include a new playmaker more often then this game could be over by halftime
Re: Dorman at Gaffney: Thoughts and Predictions?
Gaffney will keep it a close game until half time.
Dorman coaches make adjustments and get on top in the 3rd quarter to stay
Never count the Indians out at the Reservation

Seen both and Dorman wins by at least 2 scores if not more!
Re: Dorman at Gaffney: Thoughts and Predictions?
I hope Gaffney can pull out a win but I look for Dorman to win by more than 1 score. After halftime the better Coached team (Dorman) will more than likely win. Hope I am wrong for this game.
Re: Dorman at Gaffney: Thoughts and Predictions?
Still the same Gaffney coaches? If so...
At this point in the series I am past being a homer. Dorman should win by at least 10 points. Jeff is taking the same path of logic as me. The last couple of years I have just come out and said, "What have you done for me lately?" Gaffney has given Dorman some really good games these last few years but Dorman's coaching, discipline, and experience seem to rise above it consistently enough for me to be fairly objective and place my money on the Cavs. It's been awhile since I felt Dorman did not know how to win games.
At the old Reservation I will give the fans a tip of the hat and confess that the 12th man can be a factor. But just being at the Reservation won't mean much unless the spirits there infect the players and the fans. How much blood in the athletes bleed the Reservation? The coaches and fans will have to communicate that which won't be hard to do for the fans. If the fans raise Hell then it will be on. Of interest is to see if the team gets the fans on their feet or if the fans get the team on their feet.
Until Gaffney unveils a new episode in their storied history I'm just not going to fear them all that much.
I will say this....my best wishes to the Gaffney team and their fans. It really never bothers me losing to the Indians. A great, unique fanbase and players who are wrapped up in playing and winning. Win or lose I will be pulling for Gaffney in every game after this one. I just think the Indians have displayed a compelling argument for new coaching year after year. And Dorman has displayed that Gutshall always has a job as long as he wants it. It occurs to me that I could draw a parallel here....
For any Gaffney fans that resented Jones and Littlejohn for holding onto the reigns of power with an iron grip, there is another leader on your radar who wants to retain power whether you want him or not. It so happens that it is what you wish today. Just remember....if a day comes when you want new leadership it may no longer be up to you because of what you think you want today. It would be a shame if he was able to stay in power against your wishes. Did you ever have hope in Jones/Littlejohn? If so, how is that working out for you?

Re: Dorman at Gaffney: Thoughts and Predictions?
Unfortunately I've already painted myself into a corner this Friday. I have an old friend visiting with his family for dinner and I'm keep my grandkids. But next Friday I'll be taking the kids to the Friday night game. Sorry, I hate to miss this game.
Who is Dorman playing next week? If it's a Greenville team, I'll go see the Eagles play. Either the Redwood Eagles or the Boo Fort Eagles.

I think you will be goin to watch the Cavaliers next week they play them stinky Rebels from that stupid place called Dumpkin lol
On a serious note i have had a chat with a couple of guys on the school board that i am friends with and they have both told me that no real good head coach wants to come to Gaffney because our expectations are way to high. From my understanding they did reach out to Hodges and a couple of other coaches and they were told the same thing. The expectations are so high that even when you make it to the upper state championship game and end up loosing and they want to fire the coach no good coach will won't to come there. My reply to that was well if those coaches could see what the fans and everybody else sees about the 5 play playbook and all of that then they wouldn't feel that way
