I like how you assess things Mr 74. I think that you are right on all sides of the coin here. Who do the rebels have this week or are they still not getting to play

SCprepTalk I'm not 100% but I think your brackets are wrong, at least in 4A. The Greenwood vs SP game should be switched with the Greer vs CR games in te bracket. The match up is correct but where they are in the bracket is wrong, unless HSL has changed the bracket.

Right now. I would likely pick Dorman, so you would just swap Dorman and Byrnes in the bracket if that outcome occurs.racincowboy02 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:56 amI know you are doing this base off of Doodles but what does your gut say about the Dorman vs Byrnes game. I think that Dorman will win and it will be a close game. I know that the Dorman vs Byrnes game will be for the playoffs spots in region 2 so that game is for all the marbles so to speak lol
Similar to what Rebel-Fan-74 said. We have a really small sample size at this point and thoughts on this outcome could change.
Note that one of the main reasons that I make out the Playoff Projections based off Doodles power ratings is to pay homage to someone that has been a staple of High School football in this state for many years.
Also, typically I don't get an opportunity to look at the upcoming match-ups until late in the week and it is better for the website if I am able to post the projections sooner in the week.
What are your thoughts on the 3A/2A brackets? Congrats on the pick'em win last week.

Those are some really interesting brackets. Those first round matchups look like second round matchups..........and with the limited number of teams making the playoffs, they technically would be second round matchups in any other year.
Those 2A matchups are awesome. And with Saluda moving to the Lower State bracket, having them face Abbeville or Gray for State, would be a game for the ages.
In 3A, Daniel Vs. Chester first round, WOW. Then against Chapman........talk about pay to see. Then there is Dillon, Oceanside, or Camden waiting in the wings. This 3A bracket is loaded with high quality teams.
If we can get these games all played in November, wow, what a month of games. I actually think that I like the condensed brackets. Makes the regular season more important than ever. B-H-P figures to be left out in 3A. Berkeley will be out if they lose this week. They have been playing for their life for a month now. A shortened season, yes, but an exciting season nonetheless.

Ok Penguin I like what you are saying especially with the way the playoffs are sorting out to be pretty good games all the way through

As of right now, still not having a game. Talked with ten or eleven teams with no takers. When you think about it, that is not a real surprise. Think of it this way, you are a coach or AD and your team is not playing this week and you are asked about adding a Non-Region game... your first thoughts would likely be:racincowboy02 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:35 amI like how you assess things Mr 74. adding potential for COVID issues and we could lose an important player for next week's game
it's a one time deal so I get no home game
it's no real positive for me other than getting game situation "practice" since playoffs only look at Region finish
