No thats ti much of a advantage.parking is a nightmare .been there done that. Actually had to bounce cars and move them to leave .only a fool would agree to that.
Ask any ville player or parent or coach frim the 1980 team.
On paper it looks right but the reality is terrible.
Playing in a vast nearly empty stadium is worse, and to borrow your phrase "been there done that". Big stadium atmosphere only works if you have a huge crowd like when Gaffney plays there
South Pointe and Northwestern drove 3 hours on a Friday night to play the 2008 State championship in Clemson. The crowd was pitiful. If they had played at D3 it could have been a game for all time, sold out, excitement level at 11!
So maybe, I should have said let the higher seed host it if their stadium is adequate. When you said parking nightmare I thought you were talking about Summerville!
Clemson is a great place to play unless you have to drive there from the upstate. I-85 back at 2 am with high school kids?

Re: State Championships
I could see them going some place such as South Carolina State or Benedict College. Here is a list of school stadium sizes from 2002. I couldn't find anything more current posted in a grouping.

By the way, if I am not correct the Summerville vs Irmo game of 1980 that I attended where Irmo won was at Benedict that year and I know for a fact was never played at Irmo. I am an Alumni! Time to go do something important like play golf!!Damefan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 1:36 pmI could see them going some place such as South Carolina State or Benedict College. Clemson is unlikely as they have to keep their stadium available for potential ACC game changes. This is the same issue that South Carolina has. While both are currently scheduled to be "on the road" that weekend, conference schedules have already changed game dates multiple times and Universities are being told to stay flexible.stretch wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 11:30 amPersonally I wouldn’t mind Clemson being the title game location. Just a short drive to possibly watch my Lions and a few more games play on a Saturday. But, think SCSU’s stadium might also be a viable option. In the end he’s gonna go with the higher seed gets home field option. Or he picks a high schools stadium in the Columbia area, like Spring Valley or River Bluff to host.Fortfor5 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 10:42 amCitadel would be a nice option .coastal carolina.
Theyd probably welcome it.
To be honest usc has made what shoukd be simple parking a real pain. Rolled my ankle last year walking to the 5aaaa game .crapy sidewalk .took breaks limped in .
Whike the lot across frim it was closed for some kinda event .and 90% if not more was open.ckemson treated us better.
No home field .saw that at irmo in 1980 .no

i too was at the summerville at irmo game, when the wave streak was broke, 100 percent irmo, cause they had little baseball stands on the visitor side and watched the fans laying down on the ground and crying, it was like xmas when I was 10, the joy i received. also the first time i tried battery operated socks with the square battery, my feet got too hot and sweated, then socks malfunctioned and my feet froze that cold ass game.

What about Harry Perone Stadium? Nice venue, central location. Easy in and out.
