We made the 3 and a half hour road trip to Conway tonight. Couple of quick take aways: 1) The Panthers are for real. Quick, strong, and deep. 2) The gap between AAAA and AAAAA football is pretty big this season. After what the Panthers did to us, Hanna did to Westside, and Dutch Fork did to South Pointe, nobody is going to say that AAAA can compete heads up with top notch AAAAA teams this year.

Turnovers, penalties, and a very opportunistic Panthers team, put this game away early. Coach Satterwhite has done a wonderful job with his team. They left no doubt in this one. Had a nice evening out and enjoyed a crisp, Autumn evening.

Next week, the Eagles go south of the border to tangle with Benedictine, a football factory from Savannah. Similar to Oceanside, Gray, and Legion. Recruits and scholarship athletes only. Looking forward to taking my lovely wife back home to smell the stink of paper mills and other assorted nastiness. Going to need more than an N95 mask to breathe that air.......LOL

We will see about all of that. But.....we lost to a top 10 team, not a couple of afterthoughts. And, we won our Region, undefeated, for the second straight season.

Congrats to Carolina Forest on beating My Beaufort Eagles last night. The Panthers have a pretty good team. Good luck to Y'all the rest of the season.

Beaufort killed themselves with 2 Big Interceptions. This is the worst game that I have seen Beaufort play this year. I know that Carolina Forest has a good team and is a Bigger School but Beaufort just looked like they were not ready to play this game. I don't know if the 3 and a half hour bus ride hurt them or what. But it was not a fun game to watch at all. Carolina Forest had the same 2 players Run the football all night long but Beaufort's defense could not stop them. The Panthers Offensive Line did a great job all night blocking. You can tell that they are a well coached team.

Hopefully My Eagles will learn from this game and beat another good team in Benedictine next week and then make a long run in the playoffs. I do think this loss will help Beaufort in the long run. I would rather lose now then in the playoffs. Come on Beaufort let's not lose another game!!!!

Yes I am down in the dumps after seeing My Eagles lose but I still think Beaufort has a very good team and will make some noise in the playoffs this year.
