And maybe one of the best kept secrets too until you step on the field against us....
Woodruff sophomore QB Carson Tucker is already a monster and is only going to get better. On the season he has completed 91 of his 138 pass attempts which is a 66% completion percentage. He has 1,401 yards passing in six games and 16 touchdowns to only 4 interceptions.
The other side of the dynamic duo is Zy Scott, senior wide receiver. at 6'1" 180 with speed to burn, nobody has been able to guard him. Double team him or spy with a safety? He just runs right by or through the dragnet. On the season Scott has 28 catches for 685 yards and 8 TD. That's 24.2 yards per catch! I have no idea what the state record is for yards per reception but that has to be darn close.
And if those two aren't electric enough, senior tailback Shamare Dendy is one of the best backs in the state. He rushed for 1,300 yards last year as a junior and has 743 yards rushing, 350 yards receiving, and 11 total touchdowns this year while averaging 7.3 yards per carry.
Anyone who thinks Woodruff will be an easy out in 3A has another think coming....
Best trio in the state belongs to Woodruff!

Best trio in the state belongs to Woodruff!
And on the eighth day, God created the Woodruff Wolverines
Re: Best trio in the state belongs to Woodruff!
OK....best in state...
Those 3 would all likely ride the pine at Dutch Fork...sure they are good, but best in state...no.
DF QB has 1540 yds... .664 completion rate and 2 INTs...with 17 TDs. and a 2 sport commit to Clemson (football and baseball)
DF has the best WR corps in the state ....Spencer and Williams are both averaging over 19 yds a catch...with 9 TDs and 7 TDs respectively. Throw in Hyatt (yes there is another Hyatt at DF at WR...fastest sophomore in the state) and Sowell is healthy- all 6'5" of him. Williams, Hyatt and Sowell all return next season. Spencer is a D1 early commit.
At RB Green, Taylor, McQuire...all underclassmen one of the top young RBs in Virginia moved to Dutch Fork...has one carry this season. DF is known for their passing attack but ask 5A about the DF RBs....this ain't Chesnee and Emerald playing.
Come sign on to play the Silver Foxes, there Woodruff...that QB would spend the night digging turf out of his face mask and looking through the earhole of his helmet- DF defense is for...real. Would stuff your RB and shut down your WR...that's a fact.
Like JB once said...teams want to find out what all the hype is around DF, and after the 1st quarter they realize...it ain't hype.
Compare apples to apples.

Old Man, how long you been a DF fan?
Re: Best trio in the state belongs to Woodruff!
Now I respect folks supporting their home team, but to list the Woodruff crowd as the best in the state is bordering on delusional.. And by the way, isn't this the same guy that was telling us that the Woodruff QB from two years ago was easily the best QB in the state and a big time D1 recruit? A dose of reality comes in handy in this life.

Surely the untouchables could have put up 4 td or more?
Re: Best trio in the state belongs to Woodruff!
I don’t know if their the best trio of overall players , but I doubt anyone has three qbs as good as Daniels three.
All different and interchangeable and all can make plays. One is a good receiver another has played rb. Hard to scheme for because of the ability to do multiple things. Also no one seems to get upset because their not the guy on that particular night . Fun to watch.

Woodruff RB Dendy with 22 carries for 246 tonight. So you were saying?Deputy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:07 amNow I respect folks supporting their home team, but to list the Woodruff crowd as the best in the state is bordering on delusional.. I could gain 200 against Palmetto. But you seemingly avoided my statement about your glorious QB from two years ago who you said was a big time recruit and the best QB in the state. Dendy is a good back. But wasn't even offensive player of the year in the conference.
