All 3 of my sons went to to Dutch Fork. I always said Dutch Fork had more talent walking the halls than any other school in the state and just needed the right coach to get all the talent on the field and show them some X's and O's....people laughed at my statement, ...until Tommy Knotts showed up....HA

Lets be honest knotts could rake stall and make them a contender period.
Dutch Fork has no more talent year in and out than any top 6 5a school.facts .laprad coached there aswell.
Look a goose creek with chuck reedy.its a system you implement and the execution of that system.
Provided you have a decent amount of talent.
Its not the Dutch Fork show.
Its the where ever tom knotts is show facts.
Nothing wrong with school spirit.
But you have to know when knott to believe your own fibs.

Knotts is every school hes coached at reason for winning.

He was in summerville last year .i saw and talked to him at the df fd basketball game.
If the ville woulda coughed up the ad position aswell as the hc .so his pay would have been comparable

Summerville and Berkeley have been rooted out of yearly contention because not having the lock on talent in the lowcountry with new schools and zoning...the talent flow may well get capped at DF for the same reason...but this day and age, its more about Jimmy's and Joe's than X's and O's. Watch Hyatt, Zirke, Hoff, Spencer, Williams, Thompson...can't coach some of that. Just like Joyner at FD and Garcia at CF...

Talent is there and to a degree, success draws that talent.

Coaching has a lot to do with it.
Dutch fork is a prime example .
Of course some talent helps.
But theres talent all over this state byrnes is another example of Coaching .the NFL will attest to that .
Coaching and discipline is very huge part of it.goose creek will attest to that.
Literally reedy gave them plays .watched gave them one play says when you get that play right ill give you another they demand perfection.you can only out athlete so much you can be outcoached anytime .



Fort clearly has the most talent in this area .
Very good coaches but a new oc and some other changes.
Several d1 commits plus a few more on the radar.

Wando has a huge talent base (oceanside robs them)to draw from.what they dont have is a program that demands perfection .with a coach of
Knotts and reedys caliber or the Fort staff wando should have been a beast.
Last i looked df had around 1800 students andcwas around the 30th or so size wise.
Tom is dfhs heartbeat on the football field.
If he wasnt yall would have been a powerhouse long before
.just like Bentley and miller were to byrnes and many coaches around the state.
Everyone seems to know this.
With out tk df is a good team.but knott what they are now.

Hopefully what we have started this year at Fort will build ours . We have plenty of talent and have went in a better direction to build the program up.we have more support this year. Everyones buying in .so we shall see where it goes.its more of we than a me team now .

90% of the time with out outstanding coaching you will not succeed.
