Gilbert 37 Dillon 6

Post by Dillon Wildcat Fan »

Congratulations on the win. When you lose then you just tip your hat to the winners. I felt like we needed to score 50 to win. I'm shocked at the 6 points scored by us but it happens. Good luck to all of the teams next week.

Actually i did Dillon is not the Dillon of old. They beat on terrible teams and have no competition until the playoffs. They will continue this routine for a while.

People are not familiar with Gilbert apparently, they have been on the rise and very good for the last several years. Doing a great job in the weight room and very physical in the trenches, saw them beat up a good Brookland Cayce team earlier this year during an undefeated season. Don’t sleep on them, they can play!

I just looked at the pick'ems and several people picked Gilbert.

Dillon beat Gilbert 41-34 last season in a very hard fought game in the playoffs and
they had knocked Gilbert out of the playoffs 2 of the last 3 seasons.

But just looking at Dillon's scores this year,
you could see that the Dillon defense wasn't what it had been in past seasons.
One of Dillon's fans recently posted that they needed to sure up their defense.

I am shocked at the wide margin.
Expected it to be a closer game similar to last year.

Congratulations to Gilbert! :)

Gilbert versus Camden next week will be a very interesting match up. Two REALLY good teams who both score a lot of points and love to run the ball

I took them in my pickem this week. About 3 years ago when Bluffton drew them in the playoffs....I visited the Metropolis of Gilbert 😆 and was very impressed with the community support of their team and their football team.

I mean....the stadium was PACKED and ROCKIN and they took us to the Woodshed ( pun intended) 😂

I cant remember their coaches name and we just had this conversation on another thread about how a coach who invest all his time and commitment from the community and kids.....will bring about a winning program.

Congratulations Gilbert...good luck....tough one next week vs Camden!

It’s been a good run. It’s been a long time since Dillon hasn’t played on Thanksgiving.
Back in the 88’/ 89’ edition of Dillon football a friend of mine who played for the legendary Paul Chapman stated that “If they can’t score, they can’t win.”

Congratulations to Gilbert.
