It’s been a good run. It’s been a long time since Dillon hasn’t played on Thanksgiving.
Back in the 88’/ 89’ edition of Dillon football a friend of mine who played for the legendary Paul Chapman stated that “If they can’t score, they can’t win.”

Congratulations to Gilbert.
Dutch Fork, Gilbert, Flora among Midlands teams one win from state title games

It is the Indians’ first win in three tries over Dillon, which had made it to eight straight state championship appearances, in the postseason during the last four years.

Camden (8-0) used the dominating ground attack of Bracey, Willis Lane and Jaffari Pearson to rush for 455 yards and 597 yards of total offense.

It was all Camden in the second half as they limited the Gilbert to just 215 yards of total offense, well less than half the Indians’ average.

“That was a great job by our defense,” Rimpf said. “That was the star of the night.

Camden was just way faster. Gilbert was on the spot to make plays. But they either got juked, out ran or simply missed tackles. I think if gilbert connected on some of the deep passes it could had kept them in the game. But they were demoralized and camden seized momentum and never looked back. Camden was stout against the run but had some breakdowns in coverage. A team that can actually throw will give them serious problems

A team that can throw can give Camden problems you say.
I know a team that does that pretty well.

Gilbert had guys open several times. Qb overthrew a few and under threw some. Possibly for tds too. Gilbert qb missed. On a few passes where the wr would walk into the endzone. He had a te open, the db wasnt within 10yds in the middle but locked on a wr that was in almost tripple coverage

is Camden and Daniel on turf or grass? Not sure what games on what days in what stadiums

hopefully it's a good field with no muddy conditions for Daniel's passing game

Spring Valley changed from grass to turf this year. So it’ll be on brand new turf.
Go Daniel Lions!!
