WR Factory

Post by DFOLDMAN »

Knotts seems to have perfected the wide receiver factory for Dutch Fork...year in and year out, best set of WRs in the state. This year was no different with Spencer, Williams, Hyatt, Sowell.

Some of the prior talent Irby, Thompson, Zirke, J. Hyatt... list goes on.

Next year will have hands down the best WR corps in the state....Williams, Hyatt, Sowell... scary good group. D1 offers flying around from Southern Cal, Michigan State, Tennessee, South Carolina, West Virginia...

Outstanding group of football players, and outstanding young men. Knotts does it right.

how many total WR or players in general in the pros? I know some of TK's Indy guys did indeed get to the pros and excel. Are they down there as well?

All of those listed came through the DF system. Though Thompson did go to Ben Lippen for one season...helped them win a SCISA title away from Hammond. Will Taylor transferred in his senior year from Ben Lippen, though his family is strongly connected to DF; he grew up around the school. His cousins went to DF and Coach Knotts' wife works with Will's father. So that transfer was not a big shock.

Hyatt has a chance to be a pro as does Thompson both at Tennessee. Colburn was arguably our best RB in school history is currently playing in the NFL as well as Tyler Bass our once great kicker. Kameron Stewart our 6-6 OL starred at coastal this season and has a great chance to become a pro as well. The list goes on though Coach Knotts has created some successful ties since he’s been here.

well my point was in response to you calling DF WRU. Don't see them having quite the bloodlines that TK had at Indy. So it's even a little more impressive what he's doing there with less D1 talent

no surprise though

Onion Rings, you are so right. It's one thing to do what he has done in Charlotte, but doing it in the Ballentine-White Rock metroplex shows how talented he is as a HC. I knew when he showed up DF would compete for some state titles down the road, but not to this level. The man knows what he is doing. Ya'll take care and Merry Christmas.

As much fun as it would be to watch Williams, Hyatt and Sowell catch passes....Jarvis Green is going to be the most complete RB to watch next year. He put on a clinic against Hanna. Defense is loaded and DF offense is going to be DF offense. Six-Peat.
