One of the great ones.I watched some hard nose
old school football games when coach Babb was
there. At the old field when the high school was
in town if you wanted to get a seat you better
get there real early.Greenwood fans would fill up
both sides.Games started at 8 pm back then.

He definitely was a great one. Sorta reminded me of a Woody Hayes type, tough as nails on the outside but loved his players. He would ride around on his golf cart during practice. My dad and I had some great conversations with him when I visited about football, and track since my dad was the Head Track and Field Official for the State back then. Pinky use to talk about how he won the State Championship my senior year and I use to tease him for the longest time about how he couldn't get past my alma mater from Columbia. So many fond memories of great players I knew those last 4-5 years before he hung it up.
