Dutch Fork vs Spartanburg scrimmage
I heard the Vikings battled the foxes pretty tough in their scrimmage, can't wait to see the regular season game!!

Re: Dutch Fork vs Spartanburg scrimmage
Not much film on this one but both looked decent for the first scrimmage. Spartanburg QB is going to be good pro-style QB. Didn't see many targets on A. Williams or J. Green...the other WR, N. Sowell is going to be a tough match up 6'5" 200 lbs with some wheels and hands. Can't put your best cover guy on him with Williams running around. Since they play one another this season, I am sure the HCs kept their plans close to the vest. Patterson took most of the snaps at QB for DF, I think. DF has a good problem with Patterson and Appler both vying for the QB job. Both first year starting QBs at DF, but Knotts won 3 of these 5 in a row titles with first year QBs, so he apparently...knows what he is doing.

What was the final score of this scrimmage. Saw where the Vikings scored three times but no highlights of Dutch Fork scores. Also what was the result of the Greenville scrimmage today?
Re: Dutch Fork vs Spartanburg scrimmage
no idea on any of those scores. just saw a couple pieces of film... I think Sowell scored a couple times against Sburg...and Patterson too...but not sure about Williams and Green.
I think Green scored a couple times against Gville, but no clue on the rest or who actually played. Knotts poor mouths all the time so you never know what he is up to... if you listen to him preseason you may think he doesn't have enough to field a team. I've given up trying to figure him out. I went to the Ridge View scrimmage last season just before the season started thinking the worst...it was 31-7 at the half DF...

That’s a sign of a very good coach even if his name was not TK.DFOLDMAN wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 5:08 pmno idea on any of those scores. just saw a couple pieces of film... I think Sowell scored a couple times against Sburg...and Patterson too...but not sure about Williams and Green.

I know nothing about the scrimmage, but Hodge will build a power at Spartanburg. Excellent coach that is as good, or better, than anybody in the state without the last name of Knotts. Expect much improvement this year. Maybe quite a bit if they have finally been able to get in Jeters head and actually taught him how to play QB. He has all the physical tools.
