The Foxes have been through the wringer- coaches, players, staff, and families/fans. They have ceased football for a while and won't start back until tomorrow, I believe. Obviously, they won't be at their best...will their second best, be good enough to top Byrnes... I don't know. Their second best would probably handle the rest of their schedule fairly easily, but not sure about Byrnes. I just hope they are healing and can lean on one another for support.

First I’d like to say I’m just devastated about what happened myself and never knew the young man or his family. Continuing prayers for the family and everyone who knew him. Coaches, players, fans, everyone.

I think Dutch Fork will be ok at kickoff and will play hard like they always do. Byrnes will need to get after them really hard and not let up. Good luck to both teams!

As I mentioned in another post,

http://www.scpreptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7354

"Obviously, I think Dutch Fork will be a tough game and unless we play extremely well and they are down, I think the Doodles numbers from last week will be fairly accurate... I'm expecting Doodles to have Dutch Fork by (315.8 -vs- 285.6) or somewhere in that area. Dutch Fork should be favored by 24 or more."

Now the new Doodles is out, and he has Dutch Fork 315.8 James F. Byrnes 285.1 16, almost exactly what I expected in the power rankings, but I'm sticking with my projected 24 point favorites. I don't think the Rebels Defense is quite ready for what they will see out of the Dutch Fork offense. Best case for the Rebels is to score first and take time off of the clock as they score. Worst case, is for Dutch Fork to score first and force the Rebels into a 3 and out. Should that happen, it may get ugly quickly.

Byrnes first home game and maybe biggest non-region game in 12 years! I know Coach Knotts will have them young men ready and they have extra motivation to now play for!

This will be a great game but based on Friday game with Chapman I got to give DF the win.

Great game to have on the schedule. And if things were normal, DF would have to be a solid favorite. But with the events of last week, you just don't know. Sometimes you see a team go through an emotional deal like this and it takes them a while to get back on track. Other times, it is used as inspiration to go on a mission. We will see where this DF team falls in that equation.
