I find it hard to understand that with so much covid in our high schools why do colleges seem to not be having any problems with their games. Lot more kids and partying in college.

A lot more college aged kids are vaccinated. I'm sure most college teams have a high vax rate among players.

College kids are % wise more vaccinated, they take a higher number of online classes these days to protect themselves, many schools still regularly test, and they haven't started playing yet.

High Schools would probably test even higher if they did actual testing but as it stands, school districts that I have friends and relatives teaching in are doing a knee-jerk reaction and are taking no risk and sending kids home if there is a chance of close contact.

And don't forget the most important factor...

Saban and his staff know where everyone is almost all the time.

High school coaches only know where their team is for about 2 hours a day.

Common sense would be that probably every high school
football team in the state has players with the virus.
They may have no or mild signs of it and don't get tested.
