42-0 in the 3rd and the subs went in ....42-13 final. Another 864 victim. Ugly, ugly game for the Foxes....3 turnovers and probably 150 yds in penalties. Left 2 or 3 TDs out there.
When they are playing their brand of ball, it is fun to watch. I am sure Coach Knotts will get it sorted by next week. Region beware, DF has finished their 864 tour and time to deal with the 803...
Was good to finally play a home game...

Final Score for the 864 tour...

DF- 224
"The 864"- 62

Knotts must like Hodge. Sounds like that one could have gotten embarrassingly ugly if Knotts hadn't called the dogs off.

I look at it from this perspective...at the end of the 3rd quarter Gaffney led Spartanburg 17-6....DF led 42-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter, and that was playing Spartanburg and the officiating crew. I don't want to sound like a Silver Fox "homer", but I will. I have no clue how many penalties DF had but it was staggering. Now there were 3 turnovers as well, which is uncharacteristic but 2 of those were INTs by a QB new to the team as he was getting some play time.

A lot of it was emotion from it being the first home game since the loss of Jack Alkhatib, but some of it looked very questionable. Knotts' teams are well coached and don't have that many penalties. I believe DF could have scored a couple more times, easily- and could have shut out Spartanburg if they had truly wanted that; the Spartanburg QB was pulled at the end of the 3rd as well as he had been frustrated by the DF defense. I think frustration set in for DF in the 4th...every time they moved there was a whistle. Curious to see how many penalties and penalty yards.
