I'm not sure, but you should be in charge of it
IF ELECTED, I PROMISE TO...

Oh wait, wrong answer. I'd volunteer to be on the committee! I love high school football and I'd do what I could to make it even better!
How are committee members selected ?

I don't know who or how they select the at large teams from 4A from Lower State....

Last year was great lol the old days
Positions earned.
I think they should go back to 11 games .
That would help the schools more with an extra gate.

"Positions earned" is a relative term.

Region VI has at least three teams that could end up 5-1 and each team 1-1 against the other team. SIX REGION games with two being against TOP TEN worthy teams in the state. I would say that all three of teams would have earned a position in the playoffs. Some Region champions would not have played a single team that was ever ranked in the TOP TEN all season. "Earned" is not easily defined.

REGION ONE:
WESTSIDE
WALHALLA
EASLEY
PICKENS
TRAVELERS REST

REGION SIX:
MYRTLE BEACH 2 - 0
SOUTH FLORENCE 2 - 0
HARTSVILLE 2 - 0
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH 1 - 2

I'd take the team currently tied for 4th in Region VI, North Myrtle Beach (on the road) over either of the teams in Region one.

So using your example I would have anyone in region one 4a in the playoffs Based on how good they are but that’s not how it set up. So here’s a novel idea when the games that are in front of you in other words positioned earned

Meanwhile all the schools are hiring for money especially the smaller schools and if they had any extra game that belong to them and they didn’t have to share With the high school league then that would be more beneficial overall

there will always be strong regions and weak regions. At large should come from the strong ones. Not sure who they are just ask

Not at all what I said...

Your option of Region Champions and Region Runner Up = you said "position earned".

What I said was with that set up of 2 per Region, over in Region Six, you could have three teams that qualify as "POSITION EARNED" and there should be a spot for them as well. Two spots per Region is not enough in my opinion. Four is, again in my opinion, too many.

And.... what about the teams that do not make the playoffs are free to schedule a game in the first week of the playoffs with any other non-playoff team.

I'm thinking... top 3 from each region, plus a couple of at-large teams to fill out the bracket.

:D But, how do we choose the at-large :D
