Easley's Playoff Chances and Seeding
If we beat JL Mann we should make the playoffs.
Seeding
It would greatly help our seeding if we win all 3 games left.
We could win the region.
By winning only 2 of our last 3 games, it would put us somewhere in the #14 range (give or take), possible opponents would be South Florence or North Augusta.
If we only beat JL Mann and lose the other 2 games. (GWD and Hillcrest)
We would likely be the #16 seed and have to play the winner of the Goose Creek/Stratford game.
(only thing that could change that is if Stratford wins that game and also gets claimed by the D1 bracket, then we would likely play the Northwestern/York winner)
We can avoid the #16 seed if Pickens wins a 6th game.
Right now they have 5 wins with games against Blue Ridge (6-2) and Southside (6-2) remaining. If Pickens wins we would get 4 pts for that game instead of 3. Possibly moving us up to a #14 seed.
Dare I Say "Go Pick..."
Let's just Win!

How is Easley coming along?
Have they plateaued?
Are they getting better?
Injuries?

If you don't beat JL Mann, you should be banned from the playoffs for about 5 years.EHSMeanGreen wrote:Easley's Playoff Chances and Seeding

Heck, wade hampton beat gaffney last year. Mauldin and Hillcrest are giving the 2nd tier teams all they can handle this year. Just waiting on Riverside and JL Mann to turn the corner a bit. With our old DC at Riverside, I expect them to improve at least some.

EHS, this is a new rule based on JL Mann now having the longest losing streak in the state (in 4A at least).
DeCav, everything you said is true, but you'll be hanging around a while waiting for the Patriots to turn the corner. Not trying to disparage anyone, as I feel bad for them, but if you ever watch them play you seriously wonder what they spent all week doing.

Now that last part made me laugh.HSFBjunkie wrote:EHS, this is a new rule based on JL Mann now having the longest losing streak in the state (in 4A at least).

Incidentally I'm sure you'll agree that the following is a rather accurate depiction of their halftime band performance...
Not completely accurate, including the color guard I believe they outnumbered the above band by 3.

Yeah, "atmosphere" has never been a strong selling point with Mann either.
Greenville County has built plenty of new schools over the last few years, but every high school one of them still play football in the same dumps they did at their old school.

Defensively we have been pretty good all year. Offensively has been a different story. Changing from a Double Wing running style to the spread has been a slow process.DeCav wrote:How is Easley coming along?
I hope not!DeCav wrote:Have they plateaued?
Our team is improving. We weren't very good on Offense early. We had a stretch of 3 games where our Defense scored more points than our Offense. ...Since then our Offense has shown a Pulse. Played a solid 2nd half against TL Hanna, and has been just a few plays away from having solid games in our last two contests.DeCav wrote:Are they getting better?
I don't really know, so I can't comment. Also, if I did know, I don't like tipping off other teams about our Injury situation. They need to find out at game time just like the rest of us.DeCav wrote:Injuries?
