Region Playoff Outlook:
Gray put themselves in a position to win the region title by beating Saluda. With home games with Eau Claire and Newberry remaining, the War Eagles control their destiny. Saluda is solid at the 2 spot, the only way they drop is with another loss. They have Columbia and Batesburg left. Newberry and Batesburg will battle it out for the 3 seed this Friday night at Newberry. Eau Claire and Columbia will play week 10 for the last spot.

Game of the Week: Batesburg at Newberry
This is a long standing rivalry game and has been pretty close over the years. Last year's game was chippy to say the least, with ejections and a lot of 15 yard flags. I expect it to be a hard hitting game, but I hope all the crazy stuff gets left in the past.

Does anybody know how the region is handling the Eau Claire vs Batesburg game? I know Eau Claire was out with covid, but I don't know if it goes as a forfeit or a no contest. I know last night vs Gray went down as a forfeit for Eau Claire.

Could make a huge difference next week if crazy things happen.
