Already hearing this job will draw candidates from the college levels. Can see even HS coaches that are at powerhouse schools applying.
Totally agree if the right hire is made Dorman could easily become king of the hill. Should make for an interesting off season for sure.
Could be more breaking news later on this month if what I'm hearing is true.

Re: Dave Gutshall Retiring…
Congrats to coach Gutshall on his retirement and a terrific career at Dorman. Lasting 29 years at one school is rare these days. Gutshall always showed class on and off the football field. Enjoy your retirement sir!
By the way...... I know all you dorman folks are excited about who your new coach and AD will be. Just don't forget WHY your job is pretty much the top job in the state arguably. Unless I'm missing something Gutshall made Dorman football into what it is today. Don't forget to congratulate the man for what he's done for y'all.

So Dorman will not be hiring someone internally, they will do a search throughout the southeast for the best coach. It will be a good job, maybe add the AD title to the job for higher pay. I remember when Gutshall came, he was a different coach then what he is today. Dorman also changed during that time as well, where you had enough talent in the school to win.

Russ Probst is always lurking in the shadows........
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!
Re: Dave Gutshall Retiring…
I assume Kyle Richardson is the top target for those in Cavalierland.

With all that is involved at Dorman, I don't see Head Coach and AD as being a realistic possibility. Too much for one person....DHSCavsFan wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 3:58 pmSo Dorman will not be hiring someone internally, they will do a search throughout the southeast for the best coach.
