It's gameday for the Myrtle Beach Seahawks and the Beaufort Eagles. The seniors on this Beaufort High team have waited a full calender year for this opportunity. Last season the Seahawks ended our season in a slugfest at he Eagle's Nest. This year, we are going to do it again, this time at the Hawk's Nest.

With so much on the line again, both teams come into this game flying pretty high. Myrtle Beach has pretty much destroyed their opponents as of late, while Beaufort has done the same. This game figures to go down to the wire. Just one game changing play may be the difference. Deep down inside, where fear and destiny reside, these players have known for most of the season, that this game was going to have to happen, and that the stakes were going to be huge.

I see this game being a 28-24, or 31-28, type of game. When the feathers stop flying, and the talons unrap for the final time, I see the Beaufort Eagles limping away with one of the hardest fought victories in the storied history of the program. No disrespect to the Seahawks, as this will be one of the best, hardest fought, and most competitive, games played this season. 20 years from now, I will be proud to say that I was there "that" night at Myrtle Beach.

GO EAGLES, BEAT THE SEAHAWKS!

Congratulations to your Beaufort Eagles! They did an awesome job it was a pleasure watching them play. It was a night to remember you beat the top ranked 4A team in the state on the road to advance to the lower state championship. Beaufort is for real and good luck next week.

I appreciate your compliments, but those ned to go both ways. This one is one that will not soon be forgotten. I think that it was the Nature Boy, Ric Flair, who said that to be the man, you have to beat the man. We somehow managed to beat the man tonight. We beat the gold standard. And there is no need to hang any heads. Great game, great crowd, great atmosphere. Hats off to the Seahawks. They are the best team that we have faced this season. Wow, is all that I can say.
