Honest opinion.. Felt a lot better about it after year 2, going into year 3. However I feel like we have underperformed ever since losing to Gaffney at home in the playoffs in 2019. I don’t know what the ceiling is for this coaching staff because this years team should not have been 6-6 and I feel like we don’t really have an identity and we never seem to show up for big games since 2018. If you would have asked me going into the 2019 season, when the next title in Duncan will come, I would have said in the next 3-4 years for sure. Now, unfortunately, I don’t feel that way. The talent is there in bunches, but we lack the mental side. We do not have that killer instinct anymore that we once did. We used to go into games, big games knowing we were gonna win, it was only a matter of by how much. Now, we take a very conservative game plan, playing not to lose, knowing we have to been perfect to even be in the ball game. Example, see last three playoff loses. That’s my honest opinion and unless the team goes and find what they lack this offseason, I’m not sure this coach will be here a lot longer.

Collin Drafts deserves a lot of the credit for the current state of AC Flora. More so than Reggie Shaw. But in Curtis defense it’s sometimes harder to keep a program going than it is to get it going.

Rumor has it Collin Drafts couldn't relate to the kids and ran off a lot of talent when he got there, including an excellent strength coach. He went winless in year 1 and got lucky with a weak schedule in year 2, then he bolted.
Only time will tell about this Curtis hire. He wasn't good at Westwood, and had some success at Flora. As previously mentioned, I'm not sure that this was the right fit for Dorman, with all the high profile names that had to be on the list.
Couldn’t find a meter, but here’s 4 bucks!

Does Curtis keep Michael Lancaster or does one of the best OL coaches around become a sought after “free agent”?

Dorman may have made a quick hire to stop the bleeding. Word is a handful of kids are looking to transfer out.

Totally agree. Saw them when they were on like a 12 game losing streak and they lost to Union. That was the last game they lost until deep in the playoffs that year. You could see the talent was in place. Flora is also a magnet school in Columbia which is an advantage. But it goes in cycles around Spartanburg. Byrnes had theirs, then Dorman. Figure it is now Spartanburgs turn again with Hodge in place.

The talent that Shaw had at Flora was superior to the talent Curtis had the last 2 years at Flora. Shaw gets out coached in big games. But not sure this was the right time for Curtis to make the jump, I could see him struggle.
