3A Realignment

Post by stretch »

I am a little surprised that Daniel did not get moved to 4A this time around. Truthfully I would have liked to see them go back and compete in a region with Greenville and Greenwood, along with staying in a region with 2 other county schools. But we stay in 3A to try to defend our crown again. Crescent, Pendleton, Seneca, Walhalla and West-Oak will be with us in our region now. First time in a long time that BHP won't be in the same region but I 100% expect to have them on the schedule regardless. One thing I don't get is why Emerald and Chester are in the same region. Emerald is closer to all the schools in region 1 but they are in 4. I thought they were trying to make it easier to travel but I shouldn't be too surprised. Not a strong upperstate other than my Lions, Powdersville who returns many starters, and Clinton who I think will be a better team this season. The 4A lowerstate champs Beaufort make the move down and will have Philip Simmons from 2A join their region. Dreher is also moving down from 4A but they wont make much noise in their region. We'll have to wait and see about potential appeals I can see West-Oak maybe trying to go down to 1A since they still did bad when they appealed last time to go to 2A.
Go Daniel Lions!!

This is ridiculous and depressing.
Can we apply to move up.
Not only did we not move to 4A but our region got worse
Whose a challenge there . Our JV could win that region.
Guess I’ll be doing the old beat game around four again.
Plus they moved LR to lower state
Upperstate 3a is terrible
