Went to a large high school. Everybody questioned one of our classmates who went to tech school as opposed to college. Years later, many who earned meaningless college degrees are still struggling to find good paying jobs. He learned HVAC then went to work for a big HVAC company for a couple years. Started his own. Now far and away the richest, most successful person from our class. College is fine if you want to be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or some.job that requires a certain degree. But a degree in general studies, liberal arts, or some of the degrees handed out now to please those on the left, usually gets thrown in the trash can by a prospective employer for a job of any decent level.

About 25 years ago I was a young engineer working my first production supervision job. One of my managers informed me that one of our assembly workers was a millionaire. I found it hard to believe, he seemed like a totally average guy working as a mechanical assembler. Turns out, he owned a septic tank truck and a bunch of porta-potties he rented out. I have no idea why he worked for us, maybe just to provide his family with health insurance.
