Not a bad job for a Greenville County school. A little more community support than the norm. The coach that is leaving had a little success there. But, it is still Greenville County where football just isn't important. Greenville, Greer, and to a lesser degree, Hillcrest, have sort of taken football seriously on their own.

Will TR garner a lot of interest?

Not from any sitting head coaches in a decent situation. But it will garner a lot of interest from assistants looking for their first HC job, and from guys who have failed elsewhere and hope that just HC experience gets them in the door. That is what happened at Blue Ridge.

Bearcat......to illustrate why no coach with a decent job would apply, and to underscore how most of Greenville County doesn't care about football, the AD from TR was quoted in the Greenville News saying that they hope to have a coach in place by April. I say again......April. A team with no leader for three months hoping they can at least have someone in place by spring practice. Zero sense of urgency.

I saw that. I was thinking this early could have someone in place at the latest by March 1. I am sure some school would move quicker so the new coach can start to develop relationships with the new players.

no. my point is waiting til March or April is not necessary. List the job and see who wants it. Hire someone, so work can begin now

you're waiting on March or April for what?
