Still waiting on Conway but everything is quiet. I have no faith the administration will do what’s right for the kids and community. The fans have spoken with attendance and money. Nothing else we can do. At this point it’s just like many of us believe. The administration doesn’t care about winning football.

Is Greg Lawson still down there as Oc?

Greg Lawson resigned as head football coach at Hemingway in 2017 to become the OC at Conway. To show you how incompetent the man running the show is, Lawson had the play calling took away from him midway his first season which was 2018. From then on he’s been the JV head coach. I’m surprised he’s still sticking it out but he is somehow.

I was told by a very credible source that there will be no change made at Conway. Apparently the administration believes their struggles the last two years are because of covid.

Interesting to evaluate with covid. NC, KY and Tenn has already many changes. In SC it will be interesting to see how many changes and as I have read in other states dealing with COvid has been a factor with some coaches giving it up. I think over the last 4 seasons in SC there has been 26, 31, 36 and 41 openings. 26 being last year.

Really sad that the administration thinks the struggles are because of COVID. I guess they forgot about the struggles in 2018 & 2019 too? Other high schools are doing well with COVID, why should that be an excuse for Conway? It will be interesting to see their schedule next year. I’m going to assume they won’t get better because they have declined rapidly since 2017 along with their JV and B Teams. Who do they beat next year? There are no guaranteed games anymore for them even against lower classification teams. 0-2 win season. I wonder when that happens if they’ll blame the air was too hot and cold in 2022?
