Is it possible the original coach comes out of retirement, leaves Legion to win a few more games? Bobby Carrol anyone?

I am sure that the the retired Coaches that are now at Legion that are getting paid a retirement and a salary from legion are making more then $50K a year from Legion, I don’t see them giving that up. https://www.wbtv.com/2021/04/22/sc-gove ... -into-law/

BIG C!!! You honestly think that new administration is going to bring back Strait Herron or Bobby Carroll?

not sure either would even want to return..pretty unusual for a coach to leave a school, then want to come back (Dr. Brown comes to mind)..not unheard of but not common either

Could depend on how recruiting is going at Legion and what a coach there thinks it will go. Is it going to put them at a Gray level where you are classified 2A yet are good enough to almost beat the eventual 5A state champion. Coaches love winning. And never forget that it is always about talent. And South Pointe has more than their share of talent.

Remember Legion left the SCHSL for NC private school league. Football is far from competitive, not true of other sports, and not getting better soon. Bobby and Strait only know coaching with monstrous talent. Coaches love winning, probably more than money. Let’s see what happens.

And I do so wish the other schools around SC would ignore the Legions, Gray's, and Oceanside, types the way the schools around Rock Hill have. I wish everybody would just refuse to even acknowledge, or play, these folks. Sad that the member schools ont band together and demand the SCHSL to do something about it.

If South Pointe has to hire a New Coach from North Carolina, maybe they can talk to the former Head Coach from Mallard Creek, Mike Palmieri to take the job, he is now coaching in Georgia, he would be a good fit for SP. https://highschoolfootballamerica.com/m ... l-program/
