Very interesting hire and not in a good way. He is coming in at a great time. Nevertheless, the offense shouldn’t be the big issue. Stopping a possible train of transfers will be the issue. Slowing down the game on offense and riding a strong defense won’t be a bad strategy for South Pointe and may be a sustainable formula for success ie Bobby Carroll. They will have to pass more of coarse, than Collins is used to, but having a strong running attack favors South Pointe too.
Maniac; the problem is South Pointe isn't always blessed with the OL needed to run more power-type offense. Same thing I tell people about "my" Panthers and "my" Clemson Tigers - if the QB is on his back or has a hand in his face or doesn't have time to set his feet I don't care how good they are! Same goes for a RB if they are getting hit in the backfield.
We'll see!
I thought Collins left Lancaster "too early"! They were close when he was there and I kind of feel like he bailed.
Marlboro County is a place "you should be able to win at"! No lack of athletes or support in that town. Very concerning hire as you said, "especially if he is stubborn and hasn't said, hey my record reflects I may need to change my strategy"!
By virtue of the fact he has bounced around; I think he likely thinks "he's better than he is and just needs the talent to prove it"! Well, he will have the talent now! "It will be put up or shut up time for him; hopefully he's flexible in his thinking"!

There was a reason he was hired that is not obvious to everyone and the record at Marlboro was not a factor. It should be interesting.

And, that isn't good.
Those coaches knew those players from well before he got there. Probably know each kids strengths and weaknesses. More importantly; they know how far they have developed.
Not a wise thing to do in short; "IF WHAT YOU HEARD IS TRUE"!

I say again, "coming to South Pointe where winning is a wishful thing but more an expected thing and not winning could DEFINE him as a coach in my opinion"! If you couldn't win at Marlboro County and also couldn't win at South Pointe then; "it's not those schools; it's you as a Coach"!
Three - not one! Not Two! But, Three different coaches have lead South Pointe to State Championships not always winning them; but they went! If Coach Collins comes and insist on his way and his way is like a broke jumper in a windy playground playing pick-up basketball - it means he is incapable of "ADAPTATION"!
That makes him "AVERAGE" maybe even bad!

When Dean Boyd was at Marlboro County, they were a consistent playoff team. As stated earlier, we all know why and how Bobby Collins got the South Pointe job. Hiring a guy with a losing record at his current school at a place like South Pointe tells you all you need to know.

WildStallion2 - do you know if Coach Collins is on campus or not?

Has he introduced himself to the team? Coaching Staff?

With it being Spring break there isn’t much going on, but Bobby Collins is on campus and interacting with the Football players.

I saw some replies from what I thought was SP supporters on the Twitter feed: But, that is at Marlboro County!

It MC strength on the wall and something else about Bulldog somewhere else during the video.

If he was at South Pointe working with our young men "great"! Just saying, this video is taken at MC not SP.
