CONWAY

Post by OLEBALLCOACH »

Just had a interesting talk with someone at the local bar. Conway has the talent this year. But do they have the right coaches?

have seen no evidence that they are on the rise

suspect they have had talent all along (usually how it works)

Conway is lost as a fart in a whirlwind until further notice.
Looking at 3-8 even with the soft scheduling.

Too many schools to choose from in Horry County.
Carolina Forest has probably hurt Conway the most.

CF has been around for almost 25 years. True the Conway community was split when it was formed, but the problems at CHS runs deeper and wider than just the other schools. The problems starts at the front office and runs all the way to the “Backyard”!

Conway has added many students from 905 over the last ten years. Carolina Forest hurt conway its 2nd or 3rd year as numbers fell......but CF did not beat conway till its 10-12th year

Conway may have a chance to beat Loris. Doubt their good enough to beat Aynor. St James and Socastee? Flip a coin. 2-8, maybe 1-9. Other teams are automatic losses. Conway always has talent. It’s obvious over the last four years it’s a coaching problem.

And why are they playing Loris and Aynor? Trying to get easy wins?

I had the same question when I saw the schedule and Loris and Aynor was on there. That may bite them in the end.

They’ll schedule some 1A schools if that doesn’t work. The excuse for playing those will be because it’s a short drive. If they want to get better then play tougher competition and hire a proven coach.
