Has the High School League announced where weekend of Champions will be played this year?

I don't think they have announced, but quite confident it will again be in the too small stadium at Benidict.

I think they should try to work something out with SCSU for the 4A and 5A games, their stadium is twice as large as Benidict's.Cover Three wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 5:31 pmI don't think they have announced, but quite confident it will again be in the too small stadium at Benidict.
I'm guessing that logistics and staffing are a lot easier for HSL when all 5 games are at one location.

I believe Beamer made some overtures about wanting the games back at WB. Which is where they should be, just need to get it worked out with USC. Nobody grows up dreaming about playing in a state championship game, and taking the field at Benedict. And the HSL suffers also. Used to go to WB every year as you could sit there and enjoy three games in a day. Didn't matter if you had no tie to the schools. A bunch of folks did that. But no way are folks going to Benedict unless they have a dog in the fight. But with most things, the SCHSL will take the easiest out possible.

There are several of us here that used to attend all three games, this year I made it to the 4A and 5A games to meet-up with friends from across the state. Of course, the games were on different days, so two trips to Columbia, two tickets, pay to park twice.... HSL has no incentive to change, the logistics are probably easier and they extract more money from us.Cover Three wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 4:23 pmUsed to go to WB every year as you could sit there and enjoy three games in a day. The HSL could learn a few things from SCISA:Rebel-Fan-74 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 8:11 amhttps://schsl.org/
