Daniel QB Zachary Pickelsimer is transferring to Greenville. What do the Daniel Posters on here think about that? Do y'all think it will really hurt Daniel or will the Lions still be OK?

Re: DANIEL QB TO TRANSFER
I’m not sure why he’s getting all of this attention. He was the 3rd string QB on the JV team last year and he had only been to one 7 on 7 this whole summer. Poor mechanics. I guess the benches at Sirrine Stadium are nicer than at Singleton Field so good luck to him there.

was he the one that won the mvp at some camp?stretch wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 1:00 amI’m not sure why he’s getting all of this attention. Who?
Honestly Stretch is right.
Good for him realizing he had no chance of playing qb at Daniel and trying somewhere else.
I’m more worried about losing Watson Young to IMG.
Frankly a move I don’t understand. I think he will find their promise of playing on their national team a pipe dream.
What’s more disappointing is that he is a legacy player and really I don’t think the IMG helped the kid from Greer at all last year. Daniel will be alright on the line but some rearranging will have to take place. And of course it effects depth. As far as how much this pickle kid hurts Daniel. It’s zero.

Re: DANIEL QB TO TRANSFER
Losing Watson is very unfortunate but I have no doubt the OL will still be a great unit. I don’t know why the QB kid didn’t transfer sooner. He was behind our #1 Receiver and starting Safety on the QB depth chart. Our team is still very talented and I’m ready for the first scrimmage in just a few weeks.Ddub14 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 1:02 pmWho?

Re: DANIEL QB TO TRANSFER
Yea I think Simons is the leader in the clubhouse.
Eli looked great but he’s such a threat at wr that I think that would not be useful. The safety as well is going to hurt some people back there and we need all the defense we can stand with losing so much on that side.
We are so deep in the skill positions. Our run game is going to shock some people this year. Too bad Edge is most likely done or we would really be loaded there.
Qb matters next should be interesting with the 8th grader everybody is talking about . I’ve heard he could turn out to be the best ever up there . Again time will tell.

Re: DANIEL QB TO TRANSFER
Kids today are trying to make a splash by announcing their plans. In this case, I can't find a thing that would lead me to believe that this kid has any talent whatsoever. Talked with someone who does evaluations for some of the elite camps and he couldn't find anything on the kid so far.
Re: DANIEL QB TO TRANSFER
Honestly I hadn’t ever heard of em before this post.
And I follow Daniel football.
Again good luck to the kid
I think Greenville is set at that position as well and I doubt he hits the field for them either.
He could’ve been like the kid that moved to safety and found another way to help the team.
If he really wanted to play qb right away he should’ve transferred to a school that actual needs one .
Like a Pickens or Liberty

Re: DANIEL QB TO TRANSFER
Truth be told Johnson, the safety, hated playing QB and was a big part in getting Simons to come to Daniel so that he wouldn’t have to play that position anymore and get on the defensive side of the ball. I think the both of them are set up for great senior seasons.
