Who?

Honestly Stretch is right.
Good for him realizing he had no chance of playing qb at Daniel and trying somewhere else.
I’m more worried about losing Watson Young to IMG.
Frankly a move I don’t understand. I think he will find their promise of playing on their national team a pipe dream.
What’s more disappointing is that he is a legacy player and really I don’t think the IMG helped the kid from Greer at all last year. Daniel will be alright on the line but some rearranging will have to take place. And of course it effects depth. As far as how much this pickle kid hurts Daniel. It’s zero.
Losing a starter like Hyatt to IMG did hurt DF last season/this season, as with the OL for DWD...won't try to downplay that, but a 3rd string QB?...not so much. Hope he does well at Gville.

Reading this thread summarizes the status of High School football to me:

Transfers (which should trigger thoughts of someone sitting out a year since they sound like they were totally football related) everywhere and posting them on Social Media... IF we had a real SCHSL, someone could look at this and question if there were recruiting involved in multiple cases. Now IMG can recruit openly, so there is not much doubt there, but read some of these comments again.

And before the "hater" comments start flying, I'm in no way suggesting that Daniel or Greenville is the only place this is happening. Re-read my opening statement: I'm saying it is throughout High School football. I believe that there will be significant need for reevaluation of the rules regarding transfers in the VERY near future.

Colby calls DF out all the time....I can't refute him. We had new players show up...fill the gaps that were needed...its like magic. But it's truly magic, not recruiting!!

I know that Dutch Fork gets called out all the time now, and when you see the number of players who show up in their 10th or 11th grade who used to play somewhere else, OBVIOUSLY, they were recruited. What else could it be? :D 8-)

Of course, it happened ay Byrnes as well ten to fifteen years ago.

Most of the time when that happens, it is the player or the parents who wanted to move to be a part of the program that is winning. Sometimes, it was a current player who knew someone and "invited" them to check out his team and then a player is doing the recruiting. And sometimes, a coach will actually recruit a player... an assistant coach or even a fan will see someone and mention how great they would fill a need on their team.

But to see player posting on Social Media, does that not SCREAM, "I'm moving purely for football reasons." (Which according to the SCHSL rules, draws a one year of ineligible status)

Bentley and Knotts are cut from the same mold..win at all cost while skirting the rules..shame they let their ego’s overshadow their great coaching ability…

Oldman, I ain't calling DF out. I do, however, call out Knotts. More so from the Indy days. A lot of it is to lure Btango out from the shadows.
Look, it's obvious that he is a very good coach. I am sure there are parents/kids that are eager to relocate to be a part of the "magic" on their own accord.
I know it was a long time ago, but pert near everyone (except btango, whom by the way I think IS Knotts) on USA Today Super 25 forum accepted it as truth that Knotts was recruiting. I mean...people from all over the country. People in the "know".
Mikey, your last sentence stung...but I can see the truth in it. I wonder if Oldman knows about the sledgehammer incident....
And on a side note....all us upstate boys wanna know who is better down there in the low country.
Is it Fork Dorchester, or Dutch Fort? We don't hear much about either up here in title town...

We have pieces that can do the job .
We have coaches .can we execute .
Execution on our skill positions stopped us from state last year . We physically beat df after the 1st 10 minutes . Not sure they were expecting that.
But the name of the game is points on the board they won.im still pissed.
Can't leave 20 points otf against Knotts.
Or 10 or 1 .

I admire his coaching .he was good cat a Duke.
But when he's on the other side of the field. I wanna skin him like a Catfish. Hell that's most any of them.
I'm still pissed .

Not DF but anybody gotta face mask wtf.l8neman drug him down by it smh.

Thanks, everyone for the comments about this. So, It seems like this shouldn't hurt Daniel much with him transferring. I am guessing that y'all don't think that he would have been competing for the starting QB job?
