Not sure if it was Jeter, or West Virginia. But sounds like one party wasn't committed to begin with.

Some recruiting websites still had it 50/50 WV and ECU.

Sounds like a smart move.
He wants a career in sports. He probably wouldn't be the Tim Teebow of college QB's and Tim Teebow wasn't the (pick your worst NFL QB) of NFL QB's.
