seemed the night drug on forever! it was hot as fire to start, then cooled down but lighting came in! i had to work today and with a 1.5 hr drive i left during the lighting delay.

best thing of the night was the renovations to Abbeville's visitor side bleachers! very nice.

Small sample but ST looks much improved over the prior seasons. i'm sure they will get better each time out. they play abbeville at the gwood jam next friday and i'm sure they will be pushed hard. i liked the offense last night and for the most part the boys were focused on fundamentals and discipline (beyond the 1 unsportsmanlike call). there is talent at the skill positions! oline seemed to block well and the qb looks huge with a strong arm. defense looked good at times and out of place at other times especially against the pass. 96 had some opportunities but either dropped or didn't connect on some plays.

i cant wait to see them match up against abbeville friday and watch this crew improve each time out. hoping for the ST of old to be back on the field soon!

Tony Temple from Abbeville is now an assistant coach with Strom Thurmond.he played for Abbeville in the 90's.
he was an assistant coach at Greenwood for 9 years and was assistant at Abbeville since 2015.he has coached
both offense and defense.Don't know what his role is at Thurmond this year.

Temple is working in the weight room and taking a bit of a step back from coaching
