Re: Rock Hill 14…
Thank you for the explanation. Wow!!!! Running clock or not that’s a lot of points!!! Northwestern should definitely be a force in 4A!
Re: Rock Hill 14…
Yeah, but Rock Hill was also VERY bad tonight and there were a LOT of turnovers as I understand it. As far as never letting a team get more than 42 points ahead...well that's just communism right there!

Re: Rock Hill 14…
Not a surprise to me!
Been watching football or playing it for a long time - what I saw from RH last Friday was a team that "was not prepared"! That is not on the kids! I know for a fact RHH has some hard working kids; "who have some good ....GIVE A DARN....... about them"!
The guidance just isn't there! And, hasn't been there going back to Joe Montgomery's last two years where there seems to have been a collective thought process that's loosely like the following: "oh well, don't try because SP and NW has more talent"!
Teams RHH has played with less or equal talent have come out and beaten the Bearcats relatively easy though, so talent in my opinion isn't the issue.
Talked with a kid I work with who played under the current HC and we joked about him signing a petition to have him removed. He said, "I would be the 1st one to sign it and I know there would be the case with most of my former teammates"!
If you have ever played, whether you win championships or not, that is not something most players say about their former HC. It struck me as "very telling"!
It's a shame really!

Choose to Lead or you should choose to "get out the way" of those who will lead!
Re: Rock Hill 14…
I wouldn't put much stock in that fact! I was there and I know NW offense; it was very vanilla! But, as you stated, congrats on holding them to 10 points. Didn't they hold your offense to 14 points? The scoop and score is what blew it up and made the margin wider. 10 pts. "meh".

Re: Rock Hill 14…
As a Daniel fan I know where Northwestern is in their program right . They are eerily similar. In 16/17 we were bad and then came Paige Wofford and we had an offensive identity. Then two years of being real close then dropping down in classification and then boom ! The hammer falls.
I feel like that’s what your about to see at Northwestern.
Literally the same blue print with the exact same offense.
And look at the results.

Speechless
Page Wofford is the best offensive game planner and play caller in HS football in my opinion.
RH turned the ball over 3-4 times, not a ton for that many points.
13 straight touchdowns, 3 missed PAT or it’s 92.
60+ at halftime, running clock the entire second half and everyone played on both sides of the ball.
Zero defensive or special teams touchdowns.
It’s a long season and RH will get better.
The scary part is so will Northwestern. The defense is very young and got better as the game went on. The 2 scores were broken plays.
Northwestern always gets better on offense as the season progresses.
It’s only one game, but Trojan fans have something to get excited about.

SP is going to have to bring their A game against NW...definitely worth the price of the ticket.Ddub14 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 1:00 pmNeed to fire that kicker!sparked_up wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 12:46 pmSpeechless

Re: Rock Hill 14…
As much as we have enjoyed playing Rock Hill the last game of the season, playing SP the second to last will be a lot of fun to see. Get your tickets early. Both teams will be a lot better in late October. There won’t be another Friday night like last night.
Re: Rock Hill 14…
It was week 0, but boy! The silver lining is that this is going to prompt change.
