South Florence dominates top-ranked Stallions 42-7

FLORENCE, S.C. – It took Jaylin Davis and LaNorris Sellers a while to make the trek to the South Florence locker room following Friday’s game against South Pointe. The two seniors had to first navigate the sea of Bruin blue that had stormed its way onto the field – and the seemingly endless rounds of camera phones that followed. But none of that could likely take the smiles off their faces following one of the biggest wins in SFHS history.
“Our defense just played out of their minds tonight,” Bruins coach Drew Marlowe said. “So, so proud of those guys – they work really hard. To hold a team like that to seven points is really unbelievable.”
“Unbelievable job by our defensive coordinator Cannon Jordan tonight. Really, really, really came up with a great game plan to shut down a very high-potent offense.”

I’m sure a rematch is coming! That’s the game where it all counts. Welcome to Region 6-4AAAA.

There is a lot to talk about this game despite the score. However, the silence surrounding this game is speaking volumes. Even though my ears are still ringing from last night. I will be back to check out South Florence again this season.

This has to be the biggest win in program history for the Bruins. Congratulations on the big win. South Pointe is the program in 4A that everyone else compares themselves to. They are the gold standard, so this was a statement win for South Florence. SFBD, you know that I picked you guys to win 4A this year. I know that there is an awful lot of football to yet be played, but this win should put your Bruins at the top of the 4A heap for as long as they play like they did last night. Congrats again!

That’s still remains to be seen. There has to be some questions going on at south pointe this morning I would think. Also what is their qb situation like . Heard that their #1 got banged up.Mbfootballfan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 6:09 amI’m sure a rematch is coming! That’s the game where it all counts. Welcome to Region 6-4AAAA.
At this point I would say this is the most impressive win in the state this year!
Re: South Florence dominates top-ranked Stallions 42-7
South Florence no doubt was really impressive. Malachi Marshal was throwing in the dirt all night, but Collins stuck with him for some reason. I’m not sure why. He could have switched while there was still a game left. I have never been to a high school game with such distracting and annoying music blaring while the visitor team had the ball to point you couldn’t even hear the home crowd or band. South Pointe endured many drive killing penalties, bad snaps, ball mishandling, slips, and errant throws. There is definitely a story here. More than a huge win for South Florence. It is hard to think there is a next week after last night.

Congrats to South Florence!
Me and Trojangrad78 were following the score from D3 last while we watched Gaffney topple the Trojans where weeks before I saw South Pointe convincingly beat the Indians.
Region play looks to be interesting this season.

Starting Quarterback Malachi Marshal got hurt during the South Pointe Mallard Creek game, he didn’t play last week against Chester, maybe they thought he was ready to return, obviously he was not, bad bad accuracy. Congratulations to South Florence maybe we will see you again for a rematch in the State game.Maniac wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 2:45 pmSouth Florence no doubt was really impressive.
