Well all the Viking fans just couldn't wait to holler the Mauldin score at me. I honestly have no idea either but Ed was there. I'm sure he'll have an explanation. To me, the big story this weekend is the Gaffney win. Mauldin has caught us napping before. I'm having fun this year again for the first time in 6 years. It was a magical night last night. Kevin and Richard talk so much that I think my ears might have started smoking but it was good stuff.

Just glad to see this game being played like it use to be played the last couple of years, close and physical. The under 30 crowd may list Byrnes as Gaffneys biggest rival but us old timers know who really occupies that spot. It's those no good, preppy Vikings.

Passed a Gaffney fan on the way out who was hollering about what an instant classic that was. Had a Trojan, Cavalier, and Viking at the game cheering for the Vikes but do you know who was sitting in his recliner watching the game on TV?

#20 for the Vikes did not dress out tonight. The rumor is he might have gotten himself in trouble and been suspended for a game. He's the real deal and will probably get an earful Monday unless it was something beyond his control. Again, I don't know why he didn't play but I really believe he'd have been the difference tonight.

I'll try and write a summary of the game tomorrow but probably won't.

He definitely would have made a difference in the game because of what I heard no one on Gaffneys team could have matched is speed..

I was told the same thing. He's a freshman who's already turning heads. I would say he's gonna be hard to handle for the next 4 years. Grades are his Achilles heel though. Would be a shame if academic effort prevented him from contributing. I greatly respect the coach and the program if they suspended him for a game due to grades. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have done it for the BS game though. Clearly, he was riding the rails. Maybe report cards just came out. For his sake, I hope he picks up his GPA.

Head he will playing Friday but we’ll see and grades can effect you from playing..
